About Us...

Lafayette Britts began in 1967 when Bobby and Sue Armstrong decided to pursue the triple purpose Brittany concept.   Through the years Lafayette Britts have bred and shown Brittanys in field, obedience and show competition.  Producing the ultimate hunting dog was also the most basic goal.  Our CH/OTCH/AFC Lafayette King Trooper UDT is still the only Brittany to have championship titles in show, obedience and field competition.  Our tradition continues with our current Brittanys, DC Lafayette Border Baron UDX2 MH and his top winning son in juvenile stakes, FC Lafayette Kinmont Willie UD.

The Brittany is a medium-sized, leggy, dual-purpose dog, equally suited for sport and companionship. According to AKCĀ® Registration Statistics, it has surged in popularity in the last 50 years due to its talents as both a hunting and show dog. Originally called the Brittany Spaniel, it is now referred to simply as the Brittany, as its hunting style more closely resembles that of pointing breeds. Its dense, flat or wavy coat can be orange and white or liver and white in either clear or roan patterns.
